Reginald Bowers

Below you will find a few relevant entries related to Reginald Bowers, the inexperienced Conservative campaign volunteer that was “blamed” for campaign over-spending related to the 2011 election victory of Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, Peter Penashue. Reginald Bowers, the inexperienced Conservative campaign volunteer, was later appointed last December by the Conservative government to sit on the board of the Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board.

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources, pursuant to subsection 10(2) and sections 13 and 15 of the Canada-Newfoundland Atlantic Accord Implementation Act, hereby:

(a)  appoints Reginald F. Bowers of Happy Valley- Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, to be a member of the Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of six years;

(b)  agrees with the Provincial Government that the terms and conditions of the appointment of Reginald F. Bowers as a member of the Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board should be in accordance with the annexed schedule;

(c)  fixes the salary of Reginald F. Bowers at the rate set out in the annexed schedule; and

(d)  fixes the terms and conditions of the appointment of Reginald F. Bowers in accordance with the annexed schedule.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Ressources naturelles et en vertu du paragraphe 10(2) et des articles 13 et 15 de la Loi de mise en oeuvre de l’Accord atlantique du Canada—Terre-Neuve, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a)  nomme Reginald F. Bowers, de Happy Valley- Goose Bay (Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador), membre de l’Office Canada—Terre-Neuve des hydrocarbures extracôtiers, à titre inamovible, pour un mandat de six ans;

b)  convient avec le gouvernement provincial que le traitement et les autres conditions d’emploi de Reginald F. Bowers à titre de membre de l’Office Canada—Terre-Neuve des hydrocarbures extracôtiers soient conformes à l’annexe ci-jointe;

c)  fixe le traitement de Reginald F. Bowers au taux spécifié à l’annexe ci-jointe;

d)  fixe, conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, les conditions d’emploi de Reginald F. Bowers.
