@CBCNews Propaganda Challenge: #Harper vs #cdnpoli vs #Ukraine vs #Russia

Almost 3 (three) weeks ago, 07 August 2014 to be exact, we noticed something strange occurring with the “articles” that were being published and presented by our national broadcaster, the CBC News Network, who happens to be “celebrating” their 25th birthday.

The article we published seemed to draw some mixed responses, from outrage to disgust to suspicions about our motivations, especially from Harper Regime Loyalists and our critics that seem to favour the status quo. In addition, for those that “trust” the CBC News Network and the MSM for the most part, the very thought of the supposed “free press” being biased and/or compromised by special interests is beyond the pale.

It is for the reasons mentioned above that we decided to dig a bit deeper and diligently follow along as events unfolded as more “articles” were published and more reports were broadcasted. Surely we could have picked just about any topic, yet we chose to stick to one that is of utmost importance, in our opinion anyway, since it is one that may lead us into a catastrophic war of unprecedented proportions. For some additional information about how false propaganda and outright lies can lead “We the People” down this perilous road and how easy it is to be unwittingly led astray by those within the power structures, we recommend a couple of CBC documentaries, The Lies That Led To War and The Spies Who Fooled the World.

After some valuable feedback and critique we realized that our last summary article was a bit hard to digest and compare the carefully crafted edits for many, since it was primarily word based and lacked a strong visual component. So to present this case, we will provide a series of image galleries, since a picture is worth a thousand words.

Before we proceed, it should be noted that in addition to the false and misleading propaganda component we will present, we would like you to pay close attention to the “timing” of the “updates” plus the title and sub-title edits plus the url “wording” changes plus the share counts and then consider how our multiple timezones may fit into the bigger deception strategy being deployed as well as the number of comments at each point. Be sure to pay attention to the changing “authors” as well and ponder how more than one wire service can be swapped out midstream. Another noteworthy factor is connected to how trolls and hasbara operatives “work” the comment sections of the MSM and Alternative outlets which is extremely relevant to more than one issue that the Harper Regime firmly and unconditionally stands behind.

Also worth serious consideration are the “sources” of the propaganda and their “sources” along with the non-stop accusations that are based upon unsubstantiated and unproven speculations as opposed to any real facts. Some of this was recently covered in our last article and video presentation.

FYI: To those within the CBC, this “challenge” is being offered to you because we love you and would prefer that you would reflect upon the damage you are inflicting upon yourselves as you are simply playing right into the Harper Regime’s bloody hands. They have made no bones about their desire to gut your funding and privatize your remains for pennies on the dollar. If there is one shred of journalist integrity left within your organization, please do the right thing and stop peddling pre-canned propaganda, we’ll do the rest.

Let’s begin our quest, shall we?

3 thoughts on “@CBCNews Propaganda Challenge: #Harper vs #cdnpoli vs #Ukraine vs #Russia”

  1. First of all, THANK YOU! After months of despair, I’ve become unfortunately resigned to the idea that all Canadian politicians from Left to Right support the ethnic cleansing of Russians. I didn’t want to believe it, since I’ve lived here since childhood, but I could find no other explanation for what was happening, for the double standards and the humanitarian tragedies that were being ignored.

It is good to find a voice in the wilderness decrying both government and opposition parties’ policy on this matter.

Your original post was especially helpful, even if a bit overwhelming. unfortunately, I must say that this post is harder to follow than the first. It would be really helpful if you pointed out what you found, or summarized it at the end; this is simply too much information to study all of it.

    1. Greetings E,

Thanks for your feedback with regards to this summary article as well as the previous one. We will take your advise and as time permits we will put together a summary of our findings and observations but we’ll try to do a rather quick overview below and follow up with another comment or so as well. Before we move forward the first thing we would like to mention is that this false narrative and propaganda trend is still ongoing and that is taking a lot of time to archive and document.

Once again, we will attempt to add some additional commentary as time permits but please note that this article shows the pages in chronological order in segments to show how the “visual” representation changes throughout the day. It also shows the timing of the “updates” as well as the “authors” as they change, amount of shares and comments. We have archived the actual text, images and links contained within each of the screengrabs but have not found a good way to present them thus far without bloating the pages. That is why we included the numbered lists above the screengrabs along with the titles, etc. As of this post, we have been working on yesterdays “article” and are archiving the “article” being updated throughout today.

At this time, we are hoping that some other groups, independent journalists and/or media outlets will utilize the info we have provided and prepare a more “professional” presentation. Our primary goal is to stop the constant rush to war based upon baseless speculation. This being the 100th anniversary of the First World War, we need to do all we can to prevent the same mistakes that sparked the unnecessary conflicts that resulted in the deaths of 10’s of millions innocent civilians and the needless destruction of civilian infrastructure that only served to make a select few individuals and groups rather wealthy.

(please note the UN Security Council meeting is being streamed as we type so the above was rather quickly written, so please accept our apologies if it is a bit rough around the edged)

  2. Important update: It seems as if the Harper Regime cannot resist their quest to instigate further escalation of the situation in Ukraine and their blood-lust for war. This article was slipped into the “Politics” section of the CBC News site a while ago. For archiving purposes, as always, this article will be posted in its entirety. Please keep an eye on this as it will surely change and note that comments have NOT been enabled for some reason or another. Just a theory but this may not be well received by the general population…

The formal handover of responsibility is expected to take place early next week.

The Canadian jets will be working alongside fighters from Portugal, Germany and Belgium, which will be carrying out flights from bases in another Baltic state.

The missions are meant to reassure European allies unnerved by Russia’s seizure of the Crimean Peninsula, as well as the military action currently unfolding in eastern Ukraine.

The jets, which had been based in Romania on a training exercise, are tasked with defending Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian airspace because those countries are unable to do so on their own.

The deployment comes against the unfolding backdrop of heavy fighting and an apparent Russian invasion, and brings Canadian fighters as close to Russian territory as they’ve been since the crisis began.

    Ukraine claims Russian incursion

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko called an urgent session of the national security council on Thursday after two columns of Russian tanks reportedly entered the country’s southeast earlier in the day.

“Destabilization of the situation and panic, this is as much of a weapon of the enemy as tanks,” Poroshenko told the security council, according to the Interfax news agency.

Russia’s latest escalation is an outrage that will have repercussions, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said as he called on President Vladimir Putin’s regime to halt its apparent invasion, as well as the flow of arms to separatists.

The Harper government will review what further sanctions and other measures can be taken, Baird said, but he stopped short of specifics about what sort of response could be expected.

Last spring, Prime Minister Stephen Harper described the annexation of Crimea as a “slow-motion invasion” of Ukraine. Baird said the events of the last few days indicate the Russians have accelerated their efforts.

“This is absolutely unacceptable, irresponsible and absolutely reckless,” he said in a conference call from Zagreb, Croatia.

“It is also deeply and shamelessly dishonest. While Russian President Putin talked about ceasefires with President (Petro) Poroshenko in Minsk, his military was busy fighting on Ukrainian soil.”

    NATO tracks Russian troops

NATO estimates that as many as 1,000 Russian troops are fighting inside Ukraine with an additional 20,000 clustered on the border as support — or reinforcements.

“Over the past two weeks we have noted a significant escalation in both the level and sophistication of Russia’s military interference in Ukraine,” said Dutch Brig.-Gen. Nico Tak.

“We have also detected large quantities of advanced weapons, including air defence systems, artillery, tanks, and armoured personnel carriers being transferred to separatist forces in Eastern Ukraine.”

The military alliance also released a series of satellite images supporting its claim.

Major U.S. banks, meanwhile, reported they were the target of a massive cyberattack that defence officials suggested may have originated in Russia.

Defence analysts expressed little surprise at that revelation, noting Russia’s military strategy involves the use of cyberwarfare to disrupt and cripple adversaries.

Baird called the recent events a “significant provocation” in advance of next week’s NATO summit in Wales, where the alliance’s leaders are expected to hold a special meeting with Poroshenko.

Asked to characterize the latest developments, Baird described Russia’s move as an “incursion” and an “invasion,” but stopped of short declaring it an act of war.

Ukraine is not a member of NATO, unlike other eastern European nations; the alliance is not automatically obliged to come to its defence.
